Reintroducing Sara: A Decade of Care & Compassion

The Gajer Practice Blogs

May 28, 2025

Dear readers,

Today, we’re excited to reintroduce a familiar and deeply valued member of The Gajer Practice team—Sara.

Dr. Gajer has worked closely with Sara since 2013, and over the years, she has become not just a colleague, but a highly trusted practitioner whose compassion, clinical expertise, and insight make a powerful impact on our patients’ lives.

She brings a unique combination of experience in emergency medicine, health coaching, and mindset work—all driven by her passion for helping people become the healthiest, most empowered versions of themselves.

You can see Sara at The Gajer Practice on Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Here’s a note from Sara:

“Hello, my name is Sara! I grew up in Pennsylvania, but Northern Virginia has been my home since 1999. I graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Art History and later earned my Nursing degree from George Mason University. After working as an Emergency Department Nurse and Nurse Manager for over a decade, I completed my Masters in Nursing at The George Washington University. Additionally, I became a certified health and wellness coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

My background in the arts, combined with my bedside experience, allows me to critically think and guide patients on topics of medicine and mindset. I am passionate about helping patients overcome their limiting beliefs so they can be their healthiest selves in mind, body, and spirit.

In my free time, I love reading and sharing my latest book recommendations. Traveling with my 8-year-old daughter is one of my greatest joys. My goal for 2025 is to pet every nice dog I see.”

Warm regards,

The Gajer Practice

There’s a conversation happening in men’s health that most doctors aren’t having — and most men aren’t asking about. It’s not whether an erection is possible. It’s whether it’s firm enough. Mighty Mitochondria

Mitochondria are not simply a power plant. They are the master regulators of how your body ages, how your hormones signal, how your metabolism responds under stress, and whether your cells repair or surrender into disease. When I began seeing patients through this lens, everything changed.
