This non-peel, also known as a reverse peel, treatment promotes brighter, tighter, and well-hydrated skin.

PRX Derm Perfexion is designed to improve skin affected by various issues, including sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, aging skin, skin discoloration, redness, pitted scars (from conditions like chickenpox, impetigo, acne, and surgical scars), dehydration, hyperpigmentation, skin tightening/laxity, sagging or crepey skin and stretch marks.

In general, the PRX derm perfextion procedure can take up to 45 minutes, depending on the treatment area.

The procedure is straightforward and painless. Your medical staff will cleanse your skin thoroughly. Subsequently, the PRX Derm Perfexion solution is applied and massaged into the skin until complete absorption. Multiple applications of the PRX Derm Perfexion solution are administered during the same session, usually ranging between two and five, based on your individual treatment plan. After the applications, the skin is cleansed, followed by the application of a deep moisturizing treatment.

PRX Derm Perfexion has minimal side effects, particularly when compared to other skin peels. Right after the procedure, you may experience temporary warmth, redness, and slight inflammation for a few hours. While peeling is less likely compared to chemical and laser peels, some peeling may occur, particularly in areas with thicker skin. Sensitive areas, such as around the eyes, might have mild swelling. Fortunately, all side effects of PRX Derm Perfexion typically resolve within a few days to a week.

The number of required treatment sessions depends on the specific goal and the targeted skin condition. Your dermatologist might recommend the following PRX Derm Perfexion treatment plans:

1. General improvement in skin appearance, tightening, reversing photoaging, or enhancing skin tone: 1 session per week for three to four weeks.
2. Hyperpigmentation, freckling, and dark spots: 1 session per month until desired results are achieved.
3. Indented scars: Weekly sessions until the appearance and texture of scars improve.
4. Stretch marks: 1 session per week for 3 to 10 weeks or until desired results are achieved.
5. Acne and acne scarring: 1 session per week for 3 to six weeks.

For certain conditions like scarring and stretch marks, one treatment course may be permanent. In contrast, for the treatment of acne, chronic skin conditions, and overall improvement in skin health and appearance, a series of PRX Derm Perfexion treatment sessions should be repeated at least once a year.
